This Privacy Policy explains how OSTDB (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our website and services (the “Service”).
Browsing soundtrack pages does not require an account. Creating an account and submitting a soundtrack requires authentication through Clerk.

Information We Collect
Basic HTTP Logs
Like most modern websites, we use hosting providers and Content Delivery Networks (specifically Cloudflare) to serve our website globally. Cloudflare automatically collects standard access logs (e.g., IP address, user-agent, timestamps) for routing, security, and DDOS protection. We do not use this data to profile users.
Submissions Data
We store your Clerk user ID with your soundtrack submission, the game and album details, and the GitHub pull request URL and review status. This lets us show your own submission history. The pull request itself is public on GitHub; any name or handle you choose to credit on the form appears there.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a few specific external APIs to display content on the site:
- Cloudflare for edge hosting, caching, and database storage.
- Clerk for account creation and authentication, and GitHub for public pull-request review of soundtrack submissions.
- Spotify and IGDB for fetching track lists and game cover art via our backend proxy.
Cookies
Clerk uses cookies and related storage needed to keep you signed in. Cloudflare may use security cookies to protect and serve the site. We do not use these account cookies for advertising.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time if our practices change. We will update the “Effective date” at the top of the page.
